Keld Helmer-Petersen
Keld Helmer-Petersen is a Danish photographer who worked throughout the 1940s and 50s. His most widely acknowledged work is his book '122 colour photographs", which today is a considered to be a pioneering work in colour photography. He takes inspiration from artists such as Albert Renger-Patschz. His photo book entitled "Black Light" uses deeply contrasting images, with black structures upon a stark white background; all the mid tones have been removed.
